Stuff a Kong

We don't mean put a dog treat in the kong and give it to your dog, we mean stuff it!  Here are three different (easy) ways to stuff a kong.  Work your dog from easy to difficult.  If you try one that is too hard too soon you will discourage your dog and they may not learn anything at all.

Step One
Instead of feeding your dog out of their bowl put the dry food in a kong and smear a little bit of peanut butter, wet dog food, cream cheese on top.  Give to your dog.

Step Two
Mix your kong the same way but put the kong in the freezer overnight.

Step Three
Mix your dogs dry food with wet food and put in the kong.  If your dog figures this one out the go ahead and stick it in the freezer.
This little thing will get you dog mental and physical exercise to help them burn off some energy.  This is a great thing to do every day!

Find it

This one is very simple.  If your dog enjoys time outside you can scatter food for them.  Use either their regular dry food if they like it or little treats.  Just throw it in the yard for them to find.

Another version if you don't have a safe yard to let your dog romp in is to do this inside.
Put your dog in a sit and then hide treats throughout the house.  Start easy and then really hide the treats!
